Laughter is the Best Stressbuster
|

Cats---Predators and at the same time Gentle Creatures! They are very relaxing to be around and each one has it's own unique personality!
Their natural habits can evoke laughter and change my attitude instantly! They just sense when I need their attention to help me unwind! .
Writing about life with these animals is the only way to show you how they accomplish that!
A combination of poetry and narrative is used . It is told by one of the 2 litters-a female cat named "Sere" who relates her adventures with the other cats and how many compromises they need to make everyday!
Poetry is a style of self expression that has no boundaries! It can use one word or several to take us to new worlds, expand on our ideas, and paint vivid pictures of events that have happened in our lives!
Nine of us -two mothers (sisters) and 7 little ones-Mom's three and Aunt's four-She taught Mom what needed to be done with us. It is crowded around here and there is lots of ruff and tumble, various games of chase and everything is so much fun! Aunt Pafu has started to go into the woods for days at a time- her kittens were born first and so are already weaned. She taught them the survival skills they will need and I guess she felt she deserved a break by herself after all that! She might just have a great idea-maybe I'll do that someday!
We're just 10 weeks old and Mom has already been telling us it's time we were out and about. She has been teaching us what is needed in life to survive. So ready, set, and go! Here we come !Some people came over today and said that we were going home with them! Kuok, Gamby, and I (Sere) now have a place of our own!
There are only three of us now. My two brothers and me.We get a lot more attention from our people.
Now what! There's talk of moving again -oh no-it's back with all those other cats!!! Constantly watching for ambushes and vying for attention from our people!
Blu doesn't like all these cats-so he started to go into the woods on his own and spend some time by himself-just like his mother does. They always come back here to check in after a few days.
Constant Vigilance
Two families becoming one
Each has a dominant Tomcat
Squaring off
Always trying
Determined to best the other
Juju waiting to catch Kuok
It will never happen
Kuok sleeps with constant vigilance!!!
I like the 3rd shelf up -in the bathroom- and sometimes the bookcase in the office. The hollow tree in the woods is very warm and dry, lots of leaves, wild animals really know how to build a comfortable home!
There he is again -Qu- waiting outside the door to chase me! Always wanting to play silly kitten games. Doesn't he realize he's a grown up! I'll just hiss at him. Who needs such a silly cat? My person said I should turn the game around and chase him -humor him?- but that wouldjust encourage him, not make him see the light!
How About Some Loving Attention for Me! |
Wow! That's unusual!!! Pafu jumped onto my person's lap while she was working! She rested there at least a good 15 minutes, then went and laid in a corner of the room to watch. That was the very first time she's ever been so bold! I guess Pafu really needed some loving! It just shows that anything is possible when we need it enough.
Who's This?
Another cat...
He won't stay long
My person said,
"Just Visiting"
Likes to play chase games-
So him and Qu should get along fine!
Time to leave
Where did he hide?
Io wants to stay
His people say "No"
Seven feet up on top...
The highest shelf in the food closet
His person got him down
They went home despite the hiding game!
Alert! Alert! There it is again! That's the second time this week. The loudest growl we've ever heard and worst of all - it has one of our people in tow!!! My person said not to worry-there's nothing to be scared of, it's just a vacuum cleaner- but when it comes across the floor at us -THE BEST THING TO DO IS RUN!!!
Ruckus
What is going on now?
The cats are once again having a territorial dispute.
Who else-it's JUJU and Kuok!
Favo loves to jump right on top of my person's work or book when she is reading. I guess that is her way of saying "I'm more important than that paper is!"Usually she gets petted for awhile and if she doesn't leave on her ownmy person puts Favo down on the floor telling her "See you later". Favo has been laying on my person's lap for an hour! They are in the rocking chair, not at her work desk. I guess that makes a big difference!
